• Åmål is located on Route 45, approximately 170 km north of Gothenburg and 80 km
southwest of Karlstad. The distance to Oslo is about 180 km.
• The closest airport (
flygplats Karlstad
) is a 50 minute drive.
• When flying to Gothenburg, Oslo, or Stockholm there are airport buses to the train stations.
There are then train connections to Åmål.
• Åmål has direct train and bus connections to Gothenburg and Stockholm daily.
• Route 164 connects Åmål with the west coast (to Strömstad 125km).
