What questions do I need to answer when I call 112?

(Remember that while answering these (or similar) questions the ambulance, police and fire services are already being dispatched so just listen to what the operator asks for and try to stay calm).

When reporting a fire:
Is somebodies life in danger?
What is on fire?
How severe is the fire?
What is your name?
Where are you calling from - and what is your phone number?

When reporting a traffic accident:
Stop and see what has happened.
Is somebody injured?
Is somebody pinned in (trapped in a car)?
Are there any leaks, any smell of gasoline or other fluids?
What is your name?
Where are you calling from - and what is your phone number?

Remember:

It is important to know where you are. Use objects that are easy to spot when guiding the fire department, for example road signs, churches or other landmarks.
