Working in Åmål

When you have a work permit you can apply for a personal identity number (personnummer) at your local tax office (skattekontor), in Åmål, S. Långgatan12. Tel: +46 (0)771-567 567. To apply, you need to show your passport and documents from the Swedish Migration Board. You will receive a 10 digit personal identity number that includes your date of birth plus four numbers.
