This 102-year old organization coordinates and promotes the interests of Åmåls retail trade. The organization plays an important role in planning the future downtown area and has 50 shops as members. The members are also engaged in a project ”Putting Åmål in the Centre” that has led to the initiation of events downtown. The Retail Trade Organization is a member of the Municipal Business Council.

The Åmål Industry Association is a non-profit organization that promotes the interests of the manufacturing industries in Åmål. The 32 members are made up of larger companies. There is a strong engagement in issues concerning the future of the municipality especially in the areas of education, transportation, housing and other service issues. The Åmål Industry Association is a member of the Municipal Business Council.
